The problem:
771 Million people in the world live without clean water. The majority live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their family. Not only does walking for water keep children out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick. Access to clean water means education, income and health – especially for women and kids.
Our solution:
WASH stands for Water, Sanitation, Hygiene – three basic needs which decide whether one fights for survival or can survive. By providing access to clean drinking water and sanitation facilities to schools and communities, we help people in terms of health and the prevention of diseases, but also in terms of education, as we enable children to go to school instead of spending hours and energy for fetching water. By fulfilling these basic needs we create future prospects and the possibility of living a humane live.
